For clients to checkout and make payments through your ShootProof gallery with a credit card, you must select a payment gateway. If you don't select a payment gateway, or have the Pay Later function enabled in your Gallery Settings, clients will be able to check out, without paying, by entering their basic address and contact information. You must then arrange to accept their payment outside of ShootProof. To ensure you're paid, be sure to set up payment processing before sharing a client gallery.

The payment processor(s) available to you depend on where your business is located. See below for the options available by location:
United States Payment Gateway: ShootProof Pay
With ShootProof Pay, your clients enjoy a seamlessly professional experience: they never have to leave your gallery to finalize checkout, and can use any major credit card. Use ShootProof Pay to process lab- or self-fulfilled orders, and Invoice payments. The processing fee for ShootProof Pay is 2.9%, plus $.30 per transaction, but no monthly or yearly fee. You'll receive your funds via ACH transfer to your bank account, based on your account preferences and settings. Some studios also qualify for instant payouts to a debit card.

*Studios who signed up before June 2021 also had the option to use PayPal Website Payments Pro or Authorize.net. If you are a US-based studio still using either of these options, please be aware that if you remove your gateway, you will not be able to add it back. You will only have access to ShootProof Pay going forward.

Studios in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Israel, Philippines, and South Africa: Braintree, PayPal Pro, PayPal Standard (for Business)
For those of you who are located in countries where Stripe International is not available, you will have the option of the Braintree, PayPal Payments Pro, or PayPal Payments Standard (for Business)* based on your location.
Please be aware that we have no visibility on payments when they're sent through a third-party processor. Contact PayPal Support directly for more information or help with specific transactions.
*It's important to note that with PayPal Standard (for Business) clients are redirected to PayPal to complete their payments. Because of this, it cannot be used to collect credit card payments on ShootProof invoices. If you would like to collect credit card payments using invoices, consider choosing a different payment gateway option.
