What is Pre-Release?

  • Updated

Pre-Release is a gallery setting that lets you collect visitors' email addresses prior to a gallery being made active. When viewing a gallery in Pre-Release mode, your clients are taken to a registration page to capture their email address so you can easily notify them when the gallery is ready. If you add a Linked Contact to a Pre-Release gallery, you can give them access to the gallery before it's released.

Turn on Pre-Release

  1.  Go to Galleries > All Galleries

  2.  Click Actions > Settings on the specific gallery you wish to work with

  3.  In the General tab select Pre-Released in the Gallery Access section

Give a Linked Contact Gallery Access in Pre-Release

  1.  Set the gallery to Pre-Released

  2.  Assign a Linked Contact to the gallery
    • If you want the Linked Contact to be able to hide and/or label photos, set an Access Code and enable those features when adding the Linked Contact

  3. Click Share Gallery and select Email (Linked Contact)

  4. The email shown will provide the Linked Contact with their private link

The Linked Contact will have full access to the gallery by using this URL, but all other visitors will see the registration page.

Release a Gallery Automatically

Set a date for the gallery to automatically become live for viewing.

Gallery visitors will not be notified that the gallery is live. If you'd like to notify the clients who've registered that the gallery is live, you'll want to set up an Email Campaign.

  1.  Go to Galleries > All Galleries

  2.  Go to Actions > Settings on the specific gallery

  3.  Set a "Release Date” that is in the future

Release a Gallery Manually and Email Registered Guests
