Passkeys offer a faster and more secure way to sign in to your ShootProof account without needing to enter a password. Passkeys use built-in device security like Face ID, fingerprint recognition, or your device PIN to help protect your account while making login quicker and easier.
You can create multiple passkeys for your account, so if you access your account from multiple devices, you can create specific passkeys for each one.
Create Passkeys
To create a new passkey:
- Go to Account (that tiny head and shoulders button in the very top right of your account) > Users & Permission
- Click on your user name
Scroll down to the Passkey section and click Create a Passkey
- Enter the security code sent to your email
- Then choose which method you'd like to use for your passkey
- If you're already using a password manager through your browser, it may prompt you to create a new passkey in there
- If you don't have a password manager in your browser, additional options for saving your passkey might show, such as scanning a QR code to use a phone or tablet, iCloud Keychain, security key, or a browser-specific profile
- Follow the instructions for your chosen passkey method
- Give your passkey a name so you know where it is located (ie iCloud Keychain, LastPass, etc.)
- Click Save
Delete Passkeys
To remove an existing passkey, click the stacked dots on the listed passkey and select Delete.
Please be aware when you delete a passkey in ShootProof you can no longer use it to log into your account. However, it will not delete the passkey from the device or location where it was saved. If you choose to recreate a passkey in ShootProof on the same device, you may see the option to reuse the previous Passkey with the new one.
