Offer your clients custom greeting cards through White House Custom Colour. You're now able to offer 5x7, flat cards from WHCC through our new card builder. All you have to do is add cards to your WHCC price sheet and assign it to your galleries.
In the gallery, clients will choose from four different design categories: holiday, wedding, baby, and graduation. Once they choose a design, they can customize the photo layout and card shape, choose paper and envelope types, and add on envelope printing.
Set-Up
To sell greeting cards, you'll need to have a WHCC Price Sheet in your account. If you don't already have one, create one now by clicking Store > Price Sheets > Create Price Sheet > Commonly Sold Items > WHCC. Name your price sheet and click Create Price Sheet. Now customize your price sheet.
To add the cards to the new price sheet, select the Cards Category, click Add Lab Item, and select 5x7 cards.
Next, enter the Margin you'd like to earn on Card sales (we default the margin to 30%). This margin will apply across all cards, card upgrades, and add-ons like envelope printing.
Cards are not eligible for item-based discounts, but you can still offer Credit and Cart discounts. Cards also cannot be added to Packages.
Once you assign your WHCC price sheet to a gallery, clients will be able to customize and order cards right from their galleries with our new card builder!
Please note that you will not be able to make any edits or changes to the card design once they place their order. Make sure that you upload high-resolution photos in your galleries when offering your clients cards. Additionally, orders containing cards are not able to be combined.
Using the card builder
We recommend that you test our new card builder in a gallery so that you can best answer any questions that your clients might have. Here are some tips for getting you started with this new tool:
- The card builder is a separate page from the client gallery. Clients will pick the card design in their ShootProof gallery and then be routed to the card builder to choose their photos and edit the design.
- The card builder does not save the card design if the client clicks the Back to Gallery button. For the card to be saved and added to their shopping cart, they need to click the Checkout button in the card builder.
- If you have a ShootProof watermark on your photos, it will show on photos when in the card builder, but just like with your other prints, it will not be printed on the cards.
- Clients need to make sure that they update all of the text on the cards. The card builder will highlight areas where they still need to review.
- The card builder is not mobile-compatible, so your clients will need to access it on a computer. If they try to open it on their phone, they will see a message telling them they need to use a computer.
- If you have albums in your galleries, keep in mind that clients will only see the photos from the album they are in when they open the card builder. This also applies when they view their Favorites.
