Albums are folders that you can set up within a gallery. You can have as many albums in a gallery as you would like. Each album can have an individual password but all other settings are determined by the Gallery Settings. You can also have sub-albums within your albums, up to four levels deep.
Photos that have been sorted into albums remain in the All Photos view for the gallery. If you'd like your clients to only see the photos organized into albums, you can go to the Advanced tab of the Gallery Settings and toggle on the Hide the “All Photos” album option.

Album Examples
Albums are a great way to organize photos for gallery visitors. For example, if you have a wedding gallery, you might organize the photos by event, such as Ceremony, Reception, and so on. With albums, you could structure them like so:
Gallery - Wedding
Album - Getting Ready
Album - Bride & Groom
Album - Reception
Album - Family Shots
Sub-Album - Bride's Family
Sub-Album - Groom's Family
Albums are a great option if you shoot school photography. For example, if you shoot schools with many grades or classes, you might want to organize the photos like so:
Gallery - Brookstone School
Album - Intermediate Grades
Sub-Album - 4th Grade
Sub-Album - Mrs. Smith's Class
Sub-Album - Jane Jones

Hide Albums within a Gallery
This is an optional setting that has to be turned on in your account by our Support Team. If you're interested in this setting, just reach out to us at support@shootproof.com.
Once this setting has been activated in your account, follow these instructions to turn it on in your galleries:
- Go to Galleries > All Galleries > click on the specific gallery
- Go to Gallery Settings > Advanced
- Toggle on Hide albums within the gallery
- Save (top right)
Use this setting carefully! When you activate this setting within a gallery, clients will not be able to access the gallery itself, so you will need to provide clients with an album link. With this setting turned on, clients can ONLY view images within the album you've provided them the direct link to view. To find the direct album link:
- Go to Galleries > All Galleries > click on the specific gallery within
- Click on the album you would like to share
- Go to More Actions > Share Album
Album Tips
- Photos that have been sorted into albums will still remain in the All Photos view for the gallery as well. Deleting an album will NOT delete the photos in the album.
- An album can contain either photos or sub-albums, but not both. You can add a sub-album to an album by clicking into the album and then clicking Add Sub-Album in the top right.
- The More Options button on the Manage Albums view will allow you to sort albums alphabetically, generate automatic passwords for the albums, and download a CSV file of album passwords.
- Click All Photos Not in Albums to view the photos that have not been sorted into albums. Photos that are not sorted into an album will still show in the All Photos album if you have that album enabled.
