How do I turn on the Abandoned Cart Email?

Send automatic follow-up emails to clients who have left items in their carts by enabling the Abandoned Cart Email feature. You'll find this option by going to Gallery Settings > Shopping Cart. 

Enabling this feature sends a reminder email to your clients 24 hours after they add an item to their cart if they don't check out. 

The email subject line reads, "It looks like you left something behind…" and comes from the email address listed in your Contact Info.

The body of the email reads:

Head back to your gallery to finish checking out.

Feel free to reach out with questions or if you need help placing an order.

The Finish Checking Out button takes your client back to their gallery.

We recommend using the Require visitors to enter an email address option if you use the Abandoned Cart email. This ensures that clients enter their email upon gallery entry and will immediately see the items in their cart. 

How to enable the Abandoned Cart email

To turn it on for a gallery:

  • Go to Galleries > All Galleries
  • Click the Actions button on the specific gallery and go to Settings
  • Go to the Shopping Cart tab and toggle on the Use Shopping Cart option
  • Toggle on the button next to Enable Abandoned Cart Email

To enable this for multiple existing galleries, use Bulk Actions:

  • Go to Galleries > All Galleries
  • Select the Galleries where you'd like to enable the Abandoned Cart Email (or Select All)
  • Click Actions > Bulk Actions
  • Choose Enable from the Abandoned Cart Email drop-down menu
  • Click Apply Changes


Note: Emails will only be sent to carts that have been abandoned less than 48 hours before the setting is enabled.

If you'd like to send Abandoned Cart emails automatically for all future galleries, update the settings in your Gallery Presets. Go to Galleries > All Galleries > Gallery Presets.
