What are all of the Gallery Settings?

You can customize the settings for each of your galleries by clicking into the Gallery Settings. In this article, you'll find additional details for the settings in each section.

Remember that you can always save a gallery's settings as a Gallery Preset by toggling on the Save these settings as a Preset while in the Gallery Settings. 

 

General 

This section allows you to control when a gallery will be accessible and set a custom link. 

Gallery Access  
Active

Makes the gallery live and viewable.

Inactive

Makes the gallery not live and not viewable.

Pre-Released

Allows you to collect visitor email addresses before the gallery is active. Learn more about Pre-Release

 

Date Options  
Shoot Date

The date of the event or photoshoot. By default, this is the date of your upload.

Gallery Expiration Date

At 11:59 pm, on this date (in your studio's time zone), the gallery will expire and become inactive.

Order Due Date

The Order Due Date is a way to encourage clients to get their orders in quickly. Use this date in email templates and email campaigns sent to gallery visitors to remind them that their ordering period is ending.

Gallery visitors are still able to place orders once the Order Due Date passes.

Release Date

A gallery set to Pre-Released will automatically be released (made live for viewing) on this date.

 

Custom Link

Create a customized URL for the gallery.

 

Layout

Control the way your images are displayed to your clients. 

User Banner Image

Shows cover image as a banner image in galleries and albums.

Intro Page

Choose a layout to invite your clients into their gallery.

Photo Pages

Select a vertical or horizontal arrangement for photos in the gallery.

Image Size

Select between Large, Medium, and Small-sized images in the gallery.

Image Spacing

Select between Large, Medium, and Small spaces between the images in the gallery.
Gallery Intro Message

Choose to welcome visitors with a text or video message. These messages will display as visitors enter the gallery.

Gallery

Give your gallery some color, additional options, and music!

Color Set

Select your color set. Color sets determine the fonts, colors, and logos displayed in the gallery.

Language

Choose a language for text inside the client gallery.

Marketing Banner

Add a banner that shows at the top of the gallery.

Show Filenames

Enable filename visibility in the gallery. If enabled, file names show when a photo is clicked.

Add Music Playlist

If you have a music plan, choose a playlist and select whether music automatically plays when entering the gallery.

Allow Social Sharing

Show or hide social share options and enter text that will accompany the photos when a visitor shares on social media.

Allow Black & White Filtering

Allow clients to view and order black & white versions of the gallery photos.

Homepage Link

Set the website to which visitors will be sent when they click the Website link in the About tab of the gallery.

 

Access & Privacy

Control how your clients will access the gallery. 

Gallery Access

 

Public

Public galleries show on your ShootProof Portfolio Website. In a Public gallery, the brand name link in the top left corner of the gallery goes to ShootProof Portfolio Website. 

Private 

Private galleries do not show on your  ShootProof Portfolio Website. In a Private gallery, the brand name link in the top left corner of the gallery does not go ShootProof Portfolio Website and instead goes to the Photos section of the gallery. 

 

Password-protect

Only visitors with the password will be permitted to enter the gallery.

Require visitors to enter an email address

Require all visitors to enter their email addresses to enter the gallery. This allows you to track visitor activity.

Free Digitals

Allow your clients to download images from the gallery. You can take advantage of download rules that we've created for you or customize the digital rules for your clients here. You can add a custom print release to each rule you create. Learn more about all of the Free Digitals options here!

Gallery

Free Digitals rules that are set on the Gallery level are available to all visitors to the gallery unless you use a PIN to limit access.
(Vendor albums will not have access to gallery-level rules.) 

Linked Contact

Linked Contacts can have their own special set of rules for free digitals.
(Keep in mind, the Linked Contact also has access to the free digitals that are set on the gallery level.)

Album

Set rules on each album you have created in the gallery. Gallery visitors will have access to album-level free digitals in addition to the gallery-level rules.


Shopping Cart

This section allows you to add a shopping cart to your gallery and set additional options.

Use Shopping Cart

Toggle this on to enable sales through your gallery. Once this is turned on, you will see additional settings options for selling through the gallery. 

Price Sheet

Assign a price sheet to your gallery.

Minimum Order Amount (Optional)

Set an optional minimum order amount. Clients will be prevented from placing an order if the total does not reach this amount.

Allow Cropping

Lets clients crop the photos when ordering. The crop can still be changed before the order is submitted to the lab. 

Enable Store

Shows the Store tab in the gallery, which allows clients to shop by product first and then select the photo.

Enable Abandoned Cart Email

Sends automatic reminder emails to clients with items in their carts 24 hours after their last gallery activity.

Show “Buy All” Button

Gives clients the option to add all photos as a particular item to the shopping cart. 

Offer packages only

Only shows packages in the gallery and hides a la carte items. 

Allow client to Pay Later

Allow the option to skip payment at checkout.

Allow client to comment on items in cart

Allows clients to add comments to individual items in the Shopping Cart.

 

Delivery Options

 

Allow pick-up only

Clients will not be charged for shipping. Use this option if clients will be picking up their orders from you.

Allow ship-to-client only

Your client will be charged for the order shipping fee. 

Allow client to choose pick-up or shipping Clients can choose to pick up their orders (no shipping charge will be applied) or have their orders shipped to them (shipping will be charged to them).

 

Optional Message Shown at Checkout

This text will be shown in the shopping cart, as well as on the order confirmation email. 

Deliver a Print Release Toggle on this option to deliver a print release with your PAID digital download established within your price sheets. This is delivered as a PDF when your client receives his/her purchased digital files.

*If you plan to accept credit card payments, be sure that you have a payment processor in place. Without a payment processor, clients can create orders without payment. Learn more about payment processors

 

Advanced

As the name implies, these settings are probably not for every gallery. When in doubt, contact Support.

Hide the “All Photos” album

Hide the All Photos album from your clients. Use this option when you only wish for visitors to see photos you’ve sorted into albums.

Hide Album Photo Count

Keep the number of images in an album hidden in the gallery. 

Hide albums within gallery

Hide all of the albums in the gallery. You should ONLY use this setting if you are going to send direct album links to your client(s).

Add to Category

Choose the category this gallery will be in on your ShootProof Portfolio Website.

Automatically send gallery to Archive after expiration

Automatically archive this gallery after it expires.

Set Album Cover Images automatically

Selects a photo from each album to be the cover image during upload. You can always change the cover photo later.
